Brown Trout House

Turangi the Trout Fishing Capital of the World

Welcome to the Riverside
Brown Trout House
11 Kokopu St, Turangi

The Brown Trout House is an original pioneer fisherman's bach built back in the 1950's when the town of Turangi on the Tongiriro river was starting to develop. The house is in a quiet pleasant location within the older part of Turangi town with established tree lined streets, with easy access to riverside tracks for walking or biking and, of course, fishing virtually on your doorstep!

Over the years the bach has been added to and is now a spacious, cosy and comfortable house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The BROWN TROUT HOUSE
can offer two options;

Option 1. B&B Homestay. Bruce and Nita have gained 15 years experience in operating their extremely congenial homestay business "Kohinoor" and now bring that special B&B hosting talent to Turangi.

Option 2. Self contained HOUSE rental. Recent alterations and redecorating has produced a furnished self contained unit able to cater for short term visitors coming for fishing or skiing. New Zealand is rapidly becoming a highly desirable vacation destination.
